Paul's Square Pyramid

Click a thumbnail to see its larger version and description.
A 3x3x3 transformed into the shape of a pyramid with square base.

This is straightforward shape transformation of a 3x3x3. First the 3x3x3 is regularly truncated on 4 of its corners. To be more precise all these 4 corners are on the same side of the 3x3x3. This truncation is shown in image 5.
Afterwards 5 of the original sides get extensions to "delete" them.
With this technique a Trajbers octahedron or a mastermorphix can be made out of a 3x3x3. These transformations differ only by the corners the builder truncates.
