Compound Fracture is a new puzzle based on the geometry of the Fracture-10, altered to allow 45° turns along 4 axes.

Compound Fracture is similar to the Fracture-10 puzzle from the same inventor, but the dipyramid shape is concave and somewhere in between pentagonal and hexagonal. This change to the geometry, along with a new set of internal parts, allows the puzzle to make 45 degree turns. This then allows edge and center pieces to exchange places. The change in geometry means one axis of rotation is lost (relative to Fracture-10), but despite this the puzzle is quite challenging.
