Master Pentultimate

Click a thumbnail to see its larger version and description.
A face turning dodecahedron with two non-fused cuts per axis. The pieces of the Pentultimate are present but two others are too.

This puzzle is the result when pairs of cuts are placed with a slight offset relative to the puzzle's center. Placing them in the very center would give us the Pentultimate. Throught the offset in the cuts we have here two additional sets of pieces: The X-Faces and the edges. The corners and faces are already known from the Pentultimate. The design relies heavily on the design of the Starminx by Andrew Cormier.
The images shown here are not from the original puzzle but from Eric Vergo's rebuilt version. The original one is not slightly pillowed.

In 2014 MF8 started producing a version of this puzzle but that is a void puzzle with covered holes and treated as a different puzzle.
