This puzzle started its life as a custom shape variant of the 3x3x4.
It was made by applying the concept of the wall cubes to a 3x3x4. It still is a 3x3x4 but solving is a bit more diffcult.

In 2011 a mass produced version of this puzzle hit the market under the name "Cubic 3x3x4".
