A 3x3x3-mod which pretends to be a MasterSkewb.
A pretty straight forward 3x3x3-mod. At first a 3x3x3 is truncated as in image #5. Afterwards all sides left over from the original are extended with the result that just the truncated (now elongated) sides are left over.
If photographed from the correct angle it plays tricks to the viewer and looks like a MasterSkewb. It has the shape of a rhombohedron aka trigonal trapezohedron.
This puzzle is part of the series "Octgonal Edges". All modifications of this series are made by truncating an 3x3x3 on its edges. These truncations are symmetric as in the mass produced octagon from which the series takes its name.
The technical signature (Octagonal Edges Extended 21E0200101E10) indicates where to cut the original cube.
Without the keyword "Extended" it is a variant made only by truncating the original cube. With the word "Extended" some sides left over from the original receive additional extensions to "delete" some of these remaining faces.
The non-extended version is shown in image #5
