A φ-Square-5 with a shape resulting from a toroid truncated into a cuboid.
After making Rainbow φ-Square-3, the inventor considered the possibility of creating this model by modifying
- the geometry used, which could be considered as the result of truncating a toroid to which a sphere has been added, to give it the shape of a cuboid.
- by changing both the distribution of the pieces and the colours chosen for the stickers.
He used φ to establish the cutting point in the Square, now besides being a question of aesthetics, it has also become a way to personalise and complicate the resolution of these model, since the bandage that appears when using an angle of 26.565º generates some extra complications when solving the puzzle.
