The Double Circle Pyraminx is a regular two-layer pyramid, but with two circles on each side. The mechanism and idea are the same as Double Crazy Cube adapted to a Pyraminx. See the seperate entry.
Which circle turns with which side (if any) can be configured individually. The inventor decided that two whole circles shall turn with the opposing pieces. For the other two sides only the small inner circles rotate. It would also be possible that the circles don't turn at all with the side but this is not implemented yet.
