This puzzle follows the Crazy Face Turning Octahedron. The cuts are somewhat deeper so that the central triangles appear. These also make the difference to the series "Crazy Octahedron Plus". There (at most) one triangle is affected by a turn. In the Wacky Diamond (at most) four triangles are affected.
The design of the puzzle allows both types of circles:
1 (independent of the remaining layer) (image 3)
0 (fixed to the remaining layer) (image 4)
The inventor does not settle to a fixed scheme.
If all face are 0 the piece type signature is HC2[F3 C1 E3 X9 Cz3 VNz3][F3 C1]
If four faces (in a tetrahedral pattern) are 0 the piece type signature is HC2[F3 C1/ C4/ E3 X9 Cz3/ VNz3/][F3 C1/ Cz3/]
The inventor uses the pseudonym "El Cubitero".
