A Cross Cube combined with the Mixup Cube.
The Mixup Cross Cube combines the Mixup Cube with the Cross Cube 3x3x3. The mixup turns are possible after turning the central layer by 30. Afterwards all 5 layers of the other axes are turnable. To avoid overhang bandaging on the shallow faces (when an edge piece is rotated by 90), the cuts are slightly hyperbolic. Hence, any two pieces on the equator slice can be separated using 4 different grips. For that to happen, two orbits of fudging were neccessary, an interesting design challenge. This makes the mechanism similar to moving hole puzzles, fortunately not at the expense of stability and/or smoothness. The comically large fillets at some places were a part of fudging, and it also provides a nice speedcube-like look.
The closest relative existing so far is Jack's Cube. See the seperate entry. They have an equivalent internal mechanism, but the representation of pieces are different. Several pieces that are indistinguishable in Jack's Cube can now be distinguished.
