The mechanism of this puzzle is similar to the Kibble Cube but different and simpler. The bungee only comes out the two sides needed to make the cube, so corners are side and bottom where edges are both edges, limits the actual orientations possible. The bungee allows each piece to be moved in a couple directions only.
