One of the oldest entries in the museum concerning a restickered 3x3x3 is about the Path Cube. This is its larger cousin as it adapts the concept to a 4x4x4. The corners are always solved. The faces fall into two sets of equal size. Six of the edges are white, the other eighteen are violet.
Because of its sticker scheme it has a way smaller number of permutations:
2.6*10^21 instead of 7.4*10^45.
