This is not the first Cross Cube in shape of a Rhombic Dodecahedron. See "R3 (Rhombic Dodecahedron Cross Cube)" for the first variant. Unlike that first variant the Dodic shows an additional set of pieces representing the inner edges and corners. It is a rhombic dodecahedral brother of Traiphum’s unproportional C-skewb which was made from Gem V instead of Gem VIII.
