Hi,
I'm finally ready to present my first SLS printed puzzle. 195 parts in total(including adapters you will see below) and I'm very happy with the result.

I have to thank the forum members who helped my in my WIP thread
http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopi ... =9&t=31759
The unique thing in this puzzle is the presence of a virtual piece inside the circle that is not attached to any of the FTRD pieces. The cuts are made to not cause any overhang bandaging.
This assembly is a normal circle puzzle with every circle stationary but you can choose to build the whole planet series. During assembly if you don't use the red square adapter in the picture the circle will move with the face and that will be a "1" face.

You can buy a DIY kit in my i.Materialise shop:

I can also offer an assembled puzzle but don't ask me to sticker it, it's a nightmare for me hehe :)

Edit:
I forgot the museum info:

Weght : 235 grams
Edge: 43,3 mm

Wow! I'm surprised that the circles continue working in the puzzle's jumbled state. I half-expected them to be blocking most turns.

Great idea for a puzzle, and I agree, it looks very good in its finished state.

Looks great!
I wonder how much more complex another version with unbandaged circles would be :o

Looks nice!

Here is the link to the PCubes file

I find the jumbling rather intriguing. It can be unbandaged, but that is a challenge for another day.

@Proxy pie - we will find out but not in the near future. I have to solve the pure circle version first and I'm more interested in building lately:)
@Skallos - thanks for the script. Now I can scramble mine at last :)

Oh, well, since my first copy of circle FTRD got another home, I decided to print another one together with some small parts for another project.
So this time I have assembled it in a Mercury configuration - two opposing faces are "1" faces.
First time I test this and it works really well :)
The really cool new feature is that, if you jumble it and then return in to shape, you can have a case where the circles are still jumbled. This adds whole another dimension to circle puzzles. This makes it quite a puzzle even unstickered :)

That's really cool! I have a suggestion to add, maybe in a future version. Obviously since this is a jumbling puzzle there's no way to completely unbandage it, but I think there is one cut you can make that would make this puzzle a lot more interesting.

If you make the circles slightly smaller, then you can cut the larger wedge into 2 copies of the smaller wedge plus a small piece. To me it seems like the most obvious unbandaging and would add a lot more functionality to it :)

Is this unique to the "planet-ness" of having some turning circles, or can this happen with the "standard" version without them?

I have played a lot with a normal non planet version and this never happened.

hello
Just wanted to say that the quality of Jiroscop's puzzles are amazing!
I have just received my copy of this execellent puzzle. Wow! What can I say. His quality of assembling, stickering and 'breaking in' a puzzle is just execellent. I have never bought a mass produced puzzle that turns as good as this. I have bought 3 puzzles form him now and ALL three turn fantastic. Well done.
Thanks again for the opportunity to own your puzzles. Hope to buy more in the future.
