I would like to present my first original design, the Cubic Jumble Trap.
As the name suggests it is a cubic transformation of a jumble trap/face turning tetragonal trapezahedron. It is (should be) 45mm to an edge and weighs about 49 grams. I have provided images below.

That looks very nice! The scramble looks intimidating to me, in a good way

Nice! But unbelievable is right. Tom, your profile says you've been a member of the forums for less then a month. Are you a long time lurker? Or did you just get a new username? Even if this is your first original design it is clear you've been involved with twisty puzzles for more then a month.
Can I request a video?
Carl

Great idea, and very nicely executed. Well done!
I'll also second the request for a video, please.

I really like that you went with curved cuts. If you just do a direct cubic transform of the Jumble Trap with its planar cuts you get something of a mess:
But using conical cuts with the cone's apex at the origin your puzzle pops out:
The curves are quite nice in this case.

Beautiful first puzzle
I'd love to see a "windmill" version that has the same pattern on top and bottom face.

Is this sarcasm? Maybe I'm missing something but the windmill version of this cube would be created by simply taking this cube and turning it upside down.
Light goes off as I was about to say that has the same patterns on the top and bottom as its the same cube. Your pattern is singular... so I'm guessing you mean to rotate the cube by 22.5 degrees instead of 45 degrees before returning it to the cubic shape. Correct?

Yep, I meant so that the puzzle would be fully symmetrical. Also, I think 22.5deg (maybe not exactly...) is windmilling, since a 45deg operation would be more analogous to a Fisher cube and would, indeed, return the puzzle to an identical shape just flipped upside down.

This could also be achieved by "twisting" the cube shape, but only twisting it 45 degrees instead of the usual 90 degrees.

Very nice design.
Reminds me a bit of the SPAX cube by RCpongo, specifically about the conical cuts.

Awesome puzzle! Beautiful look. Definitely interested in seeing more of it, or having one eventually, haha!

Oh, all three parts combined are only like 45 euros? That's cheap!! Might pick one up soon in that case.

Nice!!! 2 questions:
(1) Why split this across 3 models? This isn't that big of a puzzle in size or piece count so everything should have easily fit in one model. Was it cheaper this way?
(2) I saw this comment "The core is snap fit, so the puzzle is a little loose and locky." Any particular reason for going with a snap fit core? M3 screws are easily available and allow one to tension the puzzle as they see fit. Is there some advantage of using a snap fit core that I'm not seeing other then maybe the cost of the screws themselves?
Genuinely curious... not trying to be critical,
Carl
