Hey Puzzlers !!
I've got some amazing news:
I'm here to announce the highest quality puzzle that's ever been mass produced based on one of my designs
It's one of my favorite puzzles of mine, and the one that looks the coolest for something so "simple" and cubic
YuXin Toys and I have been working on it for about a year, and they've been really open with every aspect of the mass production, so I've very much enjoyed working with them ! This is the result of this collaboration:
The Multi-Cube, similar to the multi-dodecahedron, is a Skewb with "windows" to see the inner mechanism. The two puzzles are solidary, which means turning the outer one will lead to the inner one turning as well.
Here you can see the outer and inner layers turning together.
As you can see, it's scarier when scrambled because you can see that the outer parts don't necessarily match with the inner ones !
To buy this puzzle, send an email to YuXin Toys at this adress:
yuxin@666toys.com
Or you can use this direct link to the product page
Follow YuXin toys on facebook here
And of course, the video you've been waiting for !
Greg

It'll be a nice addition to your collection if you get it, with that perfect Bohric of yours
Why thank you! I already have plans for it once it's in my hands.
I'm not able to reach the product page for some reason, so I went the email route. Any word on how much this puppy will be?

Any chance we'll be seeing this at webstores that are Western-friendly? Having to be bilingual to check out is a bit of a mood killer.

Congratulations Greg!
I was lucky enough to get one of Brandon's tumbled 3D printed versions when he offered them here and it is an awesome puzzle! Lots of fun to solve.
The website is working fine for me - it lists the price as 168yuan which roughly translates to $25 which is fantastic!

Oh wow, congrats on the mass-production, Grégoire. Definitely gonna buy one of those. Hmm, if I go to the Taobao website it states 168 Chinese Yuan (which is roughly 25 USD). A very nice price for such a complex puzzle.
So to buy it I have to send YuXin an email? Or will the also be available on western webshops soon?
Greetz,
Quuador

Congrats Greg, I have wanted this puzzle for a long time. Brandon was supposed to tumble a second batch, my name is on the list, but he never found the time to do it. This being mass produced is great news.

Congratulations Greg!
Another of my custom puzzles that gets mass-produced. So, I congratulate all future buyers, too.
I'm looking forward to compare my Multi Skewb tumbled by Brandon with the YuXin Multi-Cube, soon.

Congrats Grégoire! Very good news indeed. It's a wonderful puzzle that many will be able to play with now.
I've wanted one of these for such a long time now. Glad I'll finally be able to add one to my collection.

hello
That's fantastic news Greg! Well done. I have been after one of these for a long time from Brandon. Its good to see that it is a quality puzzle that you are happy with. I'll certainly be buying two puzzles. I hope Oliver can cut some Super stickers (Pochman) for them. Lets hope there are some more of your puzzles for mass production in the pipeline.

Brandon, If you read this, I still want to buy a couple from you!

Congratulations, Greg! It definitely looks like it's of very high quality. I'll be getting one
Do you happen to know whether the limited edition colorful versions will be available in "regular" shops, or will they only be sold through Yuxin's website? I think the "light blue" version is missing from their shop, if Google Translate translated it correctly.

Damn it's nice to see this but now I'm mad at myself for taking so long to tumble more. I have 48 prints that I ordered a few years back that I intended to tumble and sell. Something like $2000 to print them all.
Oh well, you snooze you lose I suppose.

Congratulations Grégoire. This would be a complex puzzle to mass produce. I'm quite surprise that Yuxin choose this one. And from your video obviously they did amazing job!

Wow, can't believe this is getting produced At such a reasonable price too! This is a must-buy.
The quality looks to be very good too.
Just to make sure... the inner edge pieces are technically redundant right? It seems like they behave like Dino cube edges just like the outer ones.

I might be willing to purchase one of these from you.
What would the cost be?
Also, what is the un-tumbled quality like? I would probably be happy with the original printed quality.

i have one of the printed/tumbled versions, and the movement of it is perfect. i don't recall the exact price, but i do recall that it was surprisingly low. throw in an autograph from Greg, and i'd say the printed version is better than the mass-produced version.

I sold the original batch of 24 at a loss of about $8 in raw material per puzzle. I only charged for the print cost and didn't account for the cost of stickers, screws, dye, wear and tear on the tumblers, tumbler media, labor, etc. If my memory serves me, I was sold them for about $40.
Multiple people have messaged me expressing interest in still getting a tumbled version. I'll certainly consider it but the tumbling process is a big labor-intensive hurdle that I just havn't had the time and motivation lately to overcome.
Profit never was a motivation for this project. I'm still willing to sell at a loss. I have plenty of money; it's time that I don't have a lot of.

hello
As I said in my earlier post, I still want to buy a couple of you.
Why don't you just dye them black and sell them.
Or, I'm sure some members are willing to buy a print from you and dye, assemble and sticker themselves.

Brandon, your recollection is probably correct: I paid $50.50 but this has probably included shipping.
The original (and tumbled) version is just wonderful.
(I have not ruined its beauty by using Super stickers for a small additional challenge.)
It has a place in our living room. Not many of my current 654 puzzles have got this honour

I've sent emails and messages to Yuxin but get no reply. I guess I'll have to wait for a store to stock them. Not happy with negotiating the Chinese language one.

I got a return email from Yuxin, he wants $25.00 for the puzzle (awesome) and $26.00 to ship to USA I will wait for it to be in retail stores. That is sad.

Are the inner and outer edges physically made from the same molded part? The reason I am asking is I am curious if its possible to purchase this puzzle in two different colors and then disassemble and re-assemble them such that it appears that the inner and outer puzzles are made of different colored plastic.
Thanks,
Carl

It is listed on zcube.
And on cubezz.com, which offers the lowest price I've seen so far.

Got my Multi Cube last night! I planned on doing an unboxing vid, but couldn't help myself.
It is a beautiful puzzle. The stickers are wonderfully vibrant and turning is great out of the box. Handles misalignments smoothly. Really happy I snagged this. Congrats on such an awesome puzzle Greg.
And my little multi-family!

I got mine from my local puzzle shop, Tribox (immediately sold out the second I bought it), and did my first solve today!
Had to come up with a new method for solving the master skewb but nothing too tricky, took me about an hour. Puzzle turns beautifully. I bet there's also plenty of different solution methods as well, other than the "dino first" method I used.
Here's to a ton more of your puzzles getting mass produced, Greg!

I got a couple a little later than some. Fantastic puzzle with super smooth movement. I will also upload disassembly and re-assembly videos shortly.

Hey, guys. Has any of you been successful trying to get one of the limited coloured variants? I really love especially the purple one, but all the stores I'm most familiar with only offer the black version. And I'm not getting any response to my email. Has anybody managed to navigate that Chinese website to make a successful purchase? I'm just getting so confused there, so any advice would be appreciated!
The puzzle looks amazing by the way and I can't wait to get one!
