Hey everyone !

A few weeks ago, I was presenting one puzzle per week (puzzles that were all bought before the shapeways price apocalypse), but recently I got carried away with projects and finals.

Good news is, I finally have enough credits to be an engineer, and just started my final internship in Altran, which means I will be getting my diploma in november ! And that also means I have more time of my hands, and will finally be able to post the rest of the puzzles from this series :)

I will start with the worst ones and finish with the best, so without further ado, here is the ETO Skewb.

This one is the worst of the series because it does not spin well, it catches a lot, and is quite loose. Mechanically, it's quite fun to see what it can do, but it's not very playable so I'm a bit disappointed

I'll let you see for yourself with this video :D

Hope you like it !

Greg

It may be catchy and loose but it's definitely interesting as well. If it was more playable that thing would be seriously awesome.

Another slot filled with a hybrid puzzle.

Don't you think the name is somewhat misleading since it is no edge turining ONLY.

This is a great puzzle! Do you have plans to make a second, more stable, version?

It's great to hear about your graduation plans, Greg! That puzzle looks wonderful. Would you mind explaining the mechanism used?

Hey Michael,

It's a quite basic design actually, the core is a skewb, and the helicopter cube shell is over the skewb. The helicopter cube centers have a spindle that hooks into the skewb edges. Everything else is just the basic pivot mechanism you see in every other puzzle :)

This is just like Tom's Helicopter Skewb :)
