Does the puzzle jumble ?
The intersection of two different turns has many pieces.

I'd suggest going with a puzzle dyed black with stickers, but that's my preference.

I'm no puzzle designer, but io made a separate file with tiles, and then printed it. Yours already seems to have tiles, so I'd just subtract the actual puzzle from the file and print just the tiles in white plastic. You could then dye them the colours you want and glue them on.

That's just speculation, though, I have no idea if it would work. I hope it would, though, because apparently stickers don't stick too well to WSF/BSF, so tiles would be excellent!

The pentultimate's tiles were not printed; rather, they were machined out of acrylic. (see here)
I would say go with stickers. They stick fine if you use decent vinyl, and you can always glue them down if they are too small to stick.

I would say go for a black puzzle with stickers (classic look).
It looks like your stickers are quite thin, but thats ok as there are found several ways to keep small stickers down.
I would not recommend using super glue simply because its hard to get the right amount of glue and some will run out on to the edge of the piece and making it look inconsistant.
I would rather use Greg's ironing method (basically ironing the puzzle after the stickers have been applied for very short time (about 5 seconds a sticker).
Or you can use what I call the "Lighter Method" which is a little risky, but works just as good as the ironing method.

About the puzzle. I really like it! Just the other day I thought to myself, hmm how about about a hybrid of edge turning and cornerturning cube? I was thinking along the lines on regular helicopter + dino cube, but I really like this one too! Curvy and shallow dino cuts, so Curvy Copter + Curvy Compy Cube! Nice! I cant wait to see how it turns out

I didn't see any reply to the question about jumbling. It should jumble when using solely curvy copter turns, and no corner turns - unless there are some internal mechanism issues i cannot see. Maybe it even has "non-expected" jumbling turns. If this is going to be mass produced it's a MUST HAVE!!

Oh, by the way. I didn't say it's a lovely puzzle. Why not simply name it rex curvy copter?? Then many will know what it is just from its name. A combination of rex cube and curvy copter

This puzzle looks really nice. As for the name, Compy Copter has a nice ring to it.

I'm just interested to see how you managed to make it work that the corners (centers of the rex turns) can be moved with the helicopter moves. I'm guessing they float above a hidden center for the corner turns.

I have mixed feelings about this, I worked on this for 2 years without success so I'm happy about this, but mad because I was beaten to it!

YES it actaully works. Good job.
But really, how can it allow new jumbling patterns? Are you sure you didn't "force" illegal turns and just didn't notice because the force required is really small due to the complex design?
I can't understand how it's able to do that.

I wonder if its possible to solve this puzzle to a state where all the flower petals (the small pieces) have been swapped with those from the opposite side and restored to the solved shape (cubic). That would be one pretty patern and I'd LOVE to see it.

Thought of another patern I'd love to see on this puzzle and didn't want to make a new post.

Can all the petals be flipped from their solved position such that each side is solved color wise yet the petals form a sort of pyramid in the center of each face?

Again this is such a pretty puzzle and I can imagine so many pretty paterns which I think may be possible.

Very very cool. The slender pieces that are flipped in their spots come about from the helicopter cube jumbling, the corner turns don't really add any jumbling directly I don't believe. The last picture of the physical puzzle I hope shows what I mean.

Wow! I love how it "thorns" with the petal pieces.

Amazing design. I drew this on paper today and I want to ask, the thorns do jumble between edge and corner twists, right? it looks like it works on paper but I don't know if the actual geometries will pan out.

Wow!!! I too immediatly thought of the thorns on my thorny cube once I saw what those petal pieces could do. I think I'd be tempted to name this the Rose Cube if it were my puzzle. Its got the flower AND the thorns.

It is: The petals are in two chiral orbits but each orbit has 4 pieces of each color and because of the duplicate colors you can achieve apparent odd permutations. This allows for arbitrary patterns.

Does this puzzle answer "Can jumbling ever violate chirality?"

In the picture with the petals jutting out: Have some of those petals been moved to their chiral partner's orbit?
